I have taught children with widely varying differences in abilities, ranging from those whose basic skills are in need of securing due to their schooling having been interrupted for various reasons; to those with moderate learning difficulties who have diagnosed symptoms that affect their ability to learn in a mainstream environment.
I am not a qualified special needs teacher however I have had a lot of experience of working with children who have special needs. I recognise that my approach to teaching these children must be based on their needs and ways of learning, meaning that I use a much broader spectrum of resources using more tactile and visual resources for learning.
I have had a lot of success teaching children with Dyscalculia. I have taught on a one to one basis and online through Skype using an interactive white board.
